Is it legal to use Educational Versions of software to create content for a college and receive payment for the content? In other words- Can I be hired by a college (paid by them) to create content for them using Educational Versions of software? Its being used for an Educational Faculity, but theyre paying me to create it. So….whats the legality of that, and please cite your source for info. Thanks

Yes you can create stuff for a college or educational institution with the Edu version of an Application and get “compensated” for you time because Educational institutions operate on donations and private funding and are not designed to make a profit like a business.
What you can’t do is to go into business selling content that was created on the edu version of Photoshop or something because then you would be earning money which would enable you to buy the full version. Edu versions are generally heavily discounted or free.

Yes, the Educational Versions of software has some of the features slimmed down by the company who provides it. Those version is also sold to general public for those who do not want to pay the full price with unneeded functions of the program.
