I am the computer aide at an elementary school. We have a computer lab with 30 student computers, and most of the teachers have a few computers in their classrooms. We run Windows XP Pro. Currently, we are using software called Success Maker Enterprise for the kids. I’ll say it plainly: I hate it. It sucks. The kids are getting bored with it, and it’s a heartache trying to get any kind of useful reports or data from it. Not to mention it is constantly freezing up at one point or another.
I really want to get the kids onto something better. I want something that is fun for them but at the same time convenient for the teachers and I to manage the classes and see their progress. It’s Kindergarten through fourth grade, so it needs to be simple for them to log into, such as simply entering their student ID number, which they are already accustomed to doing.
We mostly focus on Math and Reading for the computer software, so if that’s all it has, that’s perfectly fine.

Dear Sir/ Madam,
i have a MAP which is .bmp file the map’s X axis is Longitude and Yaxis is Latitudue . Now by clicking anticlockwisly on the Map and make a ploygon. then the information in that region of the Map will display in a new window. I have given a catalogue of Data having latitude,longitude, magnitude,time,depth etc. The map x axis is Logitude and y axis is Lattitude
Now how can i build a software , from the (.bmp )Map, just after clicking anticlockwisly how can i acess the data of that region of the polygon from the catalogue. The map’s x axis(long),Yaxis(Lat) in .BMP FILE.
Can you help me?

Once in a while my son and I like to take a break form PAPERS and he does software programs. My problem is that I cannot find any math that SHOWS HOW to do certain problems, they all just give tests. I especially dislike Elementary Success so don’t suggest it. Do you have any suggestions for a website where I can order programs that teach and then test? Or any particular programs you use that I might be able to order from Amazon, etc.? He is in 5th grade now. Thanks ahead of time!
